Updated door rubber C/28 modern truck
Watching the revel video of Foose’s 67 C28 he mentions using door rubber from a modern truck with double rubber pockets.
He does not specify what door rubber he used. Anybody had any luck using door seals from a newer truck? If so, what truck and what was involved? I tried a search here but didn’t find anything.

Re: Updated door rubber C/28 modern truck
Well once again, typing out my question on here helps me find the answer.
I went and read through the comments on YouTube and someone asked the question. Chip answered. 3014. Anyone tried this? Time to see how much Rock Auto wants for door seals.

Re: Updated door rubber C/28 modern truck
Do a search on here. I think most people are using Honda Accord or Civic seals from the early 2000s (like 2004-2006) or something. I can't remember specifically, but apparently they fit perfectly.
I just said to hell with it and bought NOS GM seals. |

I bought the Honda seals and they just showed up today. I should be able to put them on this weekend and see how they work.

Re: Updated door rubber C/28 modern truck
Please post a pic of the Honda seals, I would like to see why they are a good option.

Re: Updated door rubber C/28 modern truck
I will let everyone know how the install is and the part numbers on Monday. I won’t have the latches on for awhile though. But yes, like lockdoc said, read through that thread. It’s important to note that the Honda seals are off the Honda door opening, not the door itself.

Re: Updated door rubber C/28 modern truck
To close the loop on this - here is the link to the Honda thread - I just did post #108. I didn't take a picture of the seal cross section though.
