Help! Front end gear ratio Id

I have what I think is a front end out of an '87 truck. It is a 10 bolt 3/4 ton (8 lug) front. Can someone decode the # and tell me what gear ratio it has. The #'s are WY G 1 252 1
Thanks, Dennis

im sure you dont want to hear this but the best way is to just pull the cover and count teeth or read whats stamped on the side of the ring gear.. there is no tag on one of the diff cover bolts?

if youre extremely skilled you can turn the yoke and count how many turns it takes to turn the hubs one full revolution.. but both front hubs have to be spinning equally

I checked and the code you give isn't it. There should be a 3 letter code, on top of the passenger axle tube about 6 to 8 inches out from the carrier.

Oh, and Mike, there is a code on our axles. It's not a tag, but rather die stamped in the tube. Rear axles are on the passenger side, front, about 6 inches out. They are all 3 letter codes. You have to look real close because they are small and hard to see. About 1/8" in size.
