Brake Self adjusters

Did the 68 -72 4x4 truck every come with automatic adjusters for the front drum brakes ? And if so where does the adjuster go on the front brake shoe or the rear brake shoe .

Re: Brake Self adjusters

Never seen later brakes, but I know 64-6 were self adjusting, so the answer to your question should be 'yes'. Get a copy of the factory repair manual, it will help a lot once you figure out which side the pictures are of (they don't always say)
You don't say if you have a 1/2 or 3/4 ton. If its 1/2 parts will be easy to find. If its 3/4 the parts are all the same only bigger and can be a real pain to find (ask me how I know !!).
Good luck with the project.
Tom
