Fuel tank sending unit and fuel system

Are the fuel tank sending units the same for six cylinder and 8 cylinder engine . And would there be a difference in the rest of the fuel system.
Thanks

Senders are all the same with the exception of fuel line size. Typical 6 cyl would be 5/16 line. A big block truck used 3/8 as far as I know but could be wrong.

I do know the sending units work on a 0-90 ohm range, regardless of engine size.
