Installing inner fender well??
I am finally putting my truck back together.
I lowered my truck and my new relocated upper shock mounts now seem to be rubbing on the bottom of the inner fender well. Is this normal ? Do I need to cut the inner fender to accommodate the new mounts or is there another trick I can do to not cut the inner fender? Thanks for the help... |

Re: Installing inner fender well??
Probably. Do you have a picture of them installed?

Re: Installing inner fender well??
Thanks for the response... attached is a picture. My husband I are thinking we will grind the top of the mount and add washers behind lower fender mount so I will have clearance around an 1/8” ... thanks, Angie

Re: Installing inner fender well??
Or find a shorter shock.
Not sure I'd weaken the shock mount though, but that's just me.

Re: Installing inner fender well??
Mine is close, but I think my upper mount is located a little closer to the cab.

Re: Installing inner fender well??
Can you just bend the lip of the fender a little bit? Or unbolt the bolt in the picture and move that side up a little?

Re: Installing inner fender well??
The correct thing to do would be to trim the bottom edge of the inner fender.

Re: Installing inner fender well??
It doesn't look like you have the rubber bushings in between the inner and the bracket, that would make the difference
