Got some stuff to sell...
Hello everyone! I've got a couple things that I want to sell to save myself from having to sell my 80, I need some money to get it tuned up properly so it can get some better gas milage, and also so I can afford exterior patch panels / new body panels.
What I have: 1964 Dodge Half Ton. Everything is there, right down to the ignition key. The body seems to be in good condition with no rot, only surface rust. The truck is not running, and there are few good mechanical components that could be considered good, massive restoration project. The truck is located in Settler, AB. You'd have to come pick the truck up. I'm asking for 250 dollars Cnd for the whole thing. Various 73-87 truck parts from what is left of my 1976 parts truck. I'm gonna be taking the truck to the junkyard sometime soon to get paid for the sheet metal. There are no good body parts left on this vehicle, and the entire drivetrain has been removed. The instrumentation has been removed, and is for sale. The steering column is already claimed. I also have some other 73-87 truck parts sitting outside in a box. 10 - 100 dollars + shipping. Hey Russell,
I am looking for the frame mounts that the engine mounts bolt to. I am converting a 1985 GMC full size 2WD pickup with a 4.3L V6 to a 305 V8 and I need the correct frame mounts.

If russell doesnt have the frame mounts i have em $40 plus the ride and it includes the motor mounts too. for an extra hundred dollars ( and shipping) ill include the 305 V8 motor

Bob,
I wish I had looked here first. I just picked up an 85 3/4 ton with a 305 that I am going to take out. Unfortunatley the frame mounts for this 4 wheel drive are different. What type of truck did you get the frame mounts from, sure they'll fit?

No it does not have A/C. DOes that make a difference for the frame mounts?

A/C will not affect where the mounts are, only whether its 2wd or 4wd.

I didn't think so. Does 1/2, 3/4 or 1 ton make a difference. Someone told me that the frames were different.

I suspect 1/2 and 3/4 ton will be the same, not sure for 1 ton though. 1/2 and 3/4 tons are all the same except for suspension and brake setup pretty much.

Unfortunately, the engine mounts are toast, they met my blue tipped wrench... The truck is a Non-AC truck.

as far as instrumentaion....
are you talking about the circuit board and all the gauges? if so how are they? does it light up? how is the circuit board? got pics?

All the gauges are there minus the speedo and the oil pressure gauge that have been sold. The circuit board looks fantastic, and as far as I know all the lights work on it. The blue board has a tab on the far left broken off, but it shouldn't affect you too much. It only has one big seatbelt idiot light, none others. It needs a good scrubbing as well.
I can snag some pictures as soon as I get home.

Not 100% sure of the dimensions of the thing, but seems that shipping with FedEx would be around 40 dollars cnd or so... I would have to get it all packed up and take it to my local post office to get the actual shipping price checked. I've shipped a speedo for 4 dollars, and a oil gauge for 3, so it'll likley be a whole lot cheaper than FedEx, if they take that size of an object. I'll get back to you on Monday evening after I check with the post office Monday at lunch.
Also, I don't have a good clear plastic screen that goes overtop of the gauges, but the one you already have in the truck should be good as it is. I'll get pictures of it for you in a couple minutes. I'm gonna ask for $80 shipped, so you pay $80 dollars and I'll pay for shipping costs with the $80 dollars and get the rest as profit. Sound good?

Actually, I'm gonna get you pictures tommorow... My gas gauge and metal plate to cover the edges of the speedo are out in my mechanics shop...
I'll clean this sucker up for you, and spray the back with some chrome paint to make it super bright at night, you'll need a speedo with no idiot light slots, a mechanical oil pressure gauge and that plastic see through sheild for the gauges.

russell i have a 76 cab that i just stripped you wont find it on yours but if ya want to check, theres a thread of mine about "someone wanted a heater part" theres a ton of info about it on there. Twin turbo i spoke to a much wiser person with these trucks than me apparentyl you will need to find this part on a 81-87 truck the heater boxes are different as are the cable setups i have one i just cant get to it under the snow right now if you still need it when i get out to mine, ill send it to you once i get out there in a few days ( prolly wednesday)

The truck is a 76, so I'm not sure that you'll find the peice on mine...
79Chevypickup: I'm nearly done restoring this instrumentation pod, I've painted the base peice, the metal reflector up front, and the backs of the gauges themselves with a nice shiney chrome color, this thing is gonna be nice and bright at night Its missing one lightbult, but I'll put that empty slot right where the speedometer goes so you can easily replace it, shouldn't be more than a dollar or two at NAPA or wherever you buy your auto parts I'm just wiping the dust off the wiring plate on the back, and cleaning all the contacts with some good contact cleaner and a small peice of fine sand paper. You shouldn't have any issues with gauges not working or lights flickering when you hit a bump.

Ok, the pictures are in!
The only thing that the gauge pod needs is a light bulb and three of the little silver screws, all of which I will be grabbing tommorow at the wreckers. If you want me to, I can take a look and see if I can find the right speedo and oil pressure gauge for it, I'll only charge you the cost of the guauges (very minor, think I paid 5 dollars for the last speedo I bought there...) Also, as you can see, the gauges themselves are good, but not perfect. I would very highly suggest the white face overlays that Chevychic makes, they would not only make the gauges even brighter at night, but it would make them look very modern, and very very nice. Not sure about the price on them though, she has a couple sets on Ebay Let me know if you are still happy with the gauge pod, and I'll set it aside for you if you are BTW -- The broken tab is on the far left, but doesn't affect the stability of the pod as far as I know
