Undercoat Removal
What is the "easiest" way to remove this stuff? I have a spot about 1' x 18" on the back side of an inner fender that I need to remove. The stuff LIKES where it is. Might have to heat it up or something....Any ideas?

I use a wire wheel on my angle grinder. Pretty much takes off anything.

If you dont have paint to worry about, then small torch can heat it up where it can be scraped easily...
If it's already painted then the wire wheel may be best

I've had excellent results soaking it thoroughly with WD-40 for a few days. The stuff penetrates behind the undercoat and loosens it.

ok, Thanks! I ended up heating it with a torch and scraping it off. The stuff was nasty thick, and the wire wheel made too much dust....
