little wheel tire help

does anybody on this board run 17's on front and 18's on rear of your AD truck and yes have it lowered. I see alot of popularity in 18's and 20's but i have some 17's and am thinking of putting 18's on back. anybody with pics or tire size you went with Thanks

Re: little wheel tire help

I like the modern big rim look but still in the style that works for the older cars.
I've done some preliminary measuring and will be getting Detroit Steel 20's
Currently my '54 has;
Front - 15x7 with 4" backspace
Rear - 16x7 with 4.5" backspace
The front fenders have an absolute ton of room everywhere but i feel the wheels are tucked in too much. When i go for less backspace to move the wheel out a little i have to be careful to not create more dish on the front compared to the rear.
The rears use a huge profile tyre and i still have a lot of room but my backspace can't really be changed coz the wheel is out a lot already. I could get a wider rim and go more backspace but it won't help creating more dish, if i want that i'll have to narrow the diff a bit.

Re: little wheel tire help

I've run 14's on the front and 15's on the rear with 205 60 on the front and 255 60 on the back because it keeps the sidewall to wheel diameter in better prospective front to back and think that the 17's and 18's with the right tires should do just that with the right tires.

Re: little wheel tire help

I'm running 17's on the front and 18's on the rear. Still fine tuning the stance, but here's what it looks like so far.
