Broken windscreen
So...today I broke my 67’s windshield. It’s got a big spider web crack right in the middle now. Anybody know a shop in DFW that knows how to do these properly with the stainless trim?
Gonna need to get this fixed soon! -klb

Re: Broken windscreen
Jose Murillo
Jose's Auto Body & Refinishing 3735 E.University Dr St 175 McKinney TX 75069 469-288-0327 I bought the Precision brand rubber windshield seal from GMC Pauls and took it to Jose with the truck, and he had a windshield guy bring the glass and install it at the shop. He re-used the stainless steel trim that inserts into the rubber seal. They did not squirt in the butyl sealant, which should be done after windshield installation, but I plan to do that myself since now I know about it. If you took him the butyl sealant and squirt gun for it, I would bet they could do that part for you as well. I didn't know about that step at the time I had the work done. If you have any other body work you want done, I recommend Jose. He installed the inner front roof panel on my truck and fabricated the driver-side door inner roof and door jam and it came out quite nice. butyl sealant thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=793377 |
