As I slowly reassembly my 65 gmc I realize I don’t have a rearview mirror.
Looking at pics on line of the 3 hole mount ones that fasten to the metal above the glass but when I look at my truck there are no holes there. Was there some other style for gmc?

My 64 did not have one either. Must of been an option back then

Strange. I never thought a vehicle would come with no rearview.

My 80 service truck had no need for a rear view mirror.

So I purchased a repro like this one. It looks like it comes with chrome bolts. I'm wondering how to attach it. Did the mirrored trucks have some kind of pressed in nuts? I may need to get some sheet metals screws?

Mine came with three sheet metal screws as seen in pic. I would drill 3 holes slightly smaller then screws - good luck !
