50’s GMC paper weight

I just got this cool paper weight as a Christmas gift and thought I would share a pic. Anyone know the story on these?

Re: 50’s GMC paper weight

Thanks for the links. My in-laws picked it up at an antique store on a trip to Minnesota a few months ago.

Maybe the bed held business cards lat the dealers.

Re: 50’s GMC paper weight

I noticed a few differences from the one mongo posted the link to so these must have been made a few years.

The one in the link has 2 stake pockets in front of the fender, mine has one. Also mine has a spare tire underneath.

That is one sweet keepsake. I'd say that they may actually have had slightly different ones depending on the year. Noticing that yours has wing windows and the other doesn't. There still can't be a whole lot of them floating around. May be a few more guys looking for them now though.
