Upper trim or no upper trim?

I bought the upper trim for my 72 K10 a few years back and never installed it.
Now that my paint is done I am trying to decide if I should go ahead with installing it. I would use 3m adhesive tape rather than drill a bunch of holes in it.
What do you think?

Re: Upper trim or no upper trim?

Well we all have our personal tastes … I say no upper trim unless you install lower too. I like your truck just like it is though. Very clean looking!

I think if you were going to put anything up there without lower I would rather have the factory "pin stripe". Its more subtle.

Both upper and lower or none. Either way it's gorgeous!

I got to say it, sorry....

It would look fine but the tape needs to be on the backside doesn't?

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Upper trim or no upper trim?

(upper+lower) or (lower only) - but never upper only
Upper only looks like running around with my belt pulled up to about the middle of my chest.
Great looking truck btw!

Upper trim definitely!

Yes I have no intention of installing lower. Truck is a driver and I don't know how it would hold up. Also has a Cheyenne style box with the tool box on the passenger side. Don't even know if the lower is available for that.

That being the case, I would pass on the upper trim. Beautiful truck and it looks fantastic with no trim!

Wow, looks like mostly the same opinion. I love the upper trim only look, and awesome truck either way.

Re: Upper trim or no upper trim?

With a truck that nice it's going to look good no matter what you do.
Personally, I'd go with upper and lower.
But I like trim. I like it a lot.
