I have a '54 GMC that was mounted onto a "69 Chevy C10 frame. Everything is great other than the front wheels are set to far out. They are basically flush with the outside of the fender. I know I can get different wheels with more offset to the inside to help this but what about shorter "A" arms? It looks like you could easily move the entire spindle/wheel/tire assembly in 2" without interfering with anything else. Are there other stock "A" arms off of some other GM car/truck that would bolt on and give me the clearance I'm after? Any other complications that might arise from doing this if other "A" arms are available? Or is there a company out there that makes something. I may need to do a combination of the "A" arms and new wheels to get there but would like to keep the stock wheels that are on the truck if possible. Hopefully someone has done this and can point me in the right direction........Thanks!

Caveat: I have no idea if this might work. But have you checked the P and G series vans?

I'm surprised that no one on here has dealt with swapping out "A" arms on one of these trucks. I thought I was gonna get a number of options.......maybe not.

It's just a guess, but I think narrowing the track width isn't very common outside of drag racing applications. Increased track width translates to more stability, so there are options in the aftermarket.

I can't say that I've seen any options for narrowing track width, so I'm not much help. But if you do find something that works, please let us know.

A Porterbuilt Dropmember will narrow the track width. They also sell narrowed a-arms.
Give them a shout.

Most guys these days use an S-10 frame under AD trucks and they do have a narrower track than C-10s. You should spend time in that forum as there are lots of ongoing projects there and how to's a plenty.
