You are going to have a great time. Prepare to walk a lot as there is tent after tent of cars outside that will be auctioned.

Re: Anyone going to Barrett Jackson this upcoming weekend?

Thanks !
I'll try and get some pictures of what's there and will post them on this thread. I'm curious to see what condition most of these vehicles are in. They look great on TV, but might be different when up close.

When I lived in AZ, I went every year consecutively for about 5 years. I would always go early in the week to avoid the weekend crowds when all the high dollar cars were auctioned. It would surprise me how many good deals could be had on the early days. I’m taking really nice cars for under 10k! You see a mixed bag of a lot of cars but rarely any junk. Enjoy yourself!

Re: Anyone going to Barrett Jackson this upcoming weekend?

I don't really get in to this show on TV. Ill watch a few cars go through now and then between commercials on something else I'm watching.

I don't understand why there are buyers up on the stage and buyers in the audience.

I'm not really an expert on any one type of car but I do have a pretty wide general knowledge on a whole lot of makes and models. First three cars I watched roll through the announcers made mistakes on, not big ones, just seems weird the "pros" make a mistake I would catch.

The older heavy set dude (I'm probably older and heavier set than he haha) drives me nuts when he constantly calls the interiors of the 71 and 72 Chevy trucks Silverado Style

You are free to take as many pictures and post if you like. My advise would be to go, enjoy, look and learn a lot. Don't worry about taking pictures as any of us can go to the BJ webpage and view all the lots available.

Also, anyone going to these auctions need to be very careful. Things aren't always what they seam to be. Lot #539 is a K-20 advertised as a Cheyenne Super and it doesn't have the things a Super needs to have. No Bed light, no tailgate band, no wood grain lower trim, no wood grain interior panels as required, custom seat cover, etc...

Re: Anyone going to Barrett Jackson this upcoming weekend?

I went yesterday to work the Good Guys booth. It's the first time I've been in 20 yrs. Damn, that's I would say. I spent a couple looking around and didn't see half of the cars. Like they have said, you will be overwhelmed with all the stuff there besides the cars and yes I will do it again. If you like shiny cars you will love it.

At least a few of them are fetching big coins. The custom Corvettes are hot this year. Early style with modern mechanicals.

Thanks for allowing me to take some pictures. I’ll post a few for others to enjoy. You are free to visit the BJ website if not interested in looking.
On a side note; it was a great show and you can get sensory overload pretty quick. Most trucks were awesome, but there was a few turds in the group. Posting a few pics I took on my phone.
