Chasing Cab Leaks - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am trying to chase a couple leaks. The first is on the DS, dripping out from under dash down kick panel. The other is on the PS, puddling on dash and coming through the weep hole in dash and into PS floorboard. I have put window weld on the windshield side and cab side of the windshield seal multiple times (about 6-8" across top, down side, and about 6-8" across bottom). Any other thoughts on where these may be coming from?

Check your wiper motor seal.

Seal all the way around the glass to windshield seal and all the way around the Windshield seal to body.

If you take your cowl panel off you will see a seem. Try filling it with new sealer. That whare the leak under the dash comes from.

Ditto...suggest you use a small pointed scriber (yeah, I know I'm an old man)
and scrape out as mush old sealer first....doing so lets the new sealer push further int the seam....make sure you push the sealer into the seal...use disposable gloves and have FUN !!!!

Looking at your build thread it appears you did not have much cab repair to do. There are hidden areas under the cowl, and under the cowl sheet metal cover. That area is very problematic as I am going through the same thing.

Looks like you do not have the chrome trim windshield, that causes another issue.

3M WindoWeld. Both on the glass to gasket side and gasket to metal side. Take a look at this thread:

I know about the seams vertically from the bottom of the windshield down into the cowl, what other seams are there once the cowl panel is removed...a horizontal seam I suppose? This could be the cause of my DS leak but the PS is either windshield or drip rail since it is pooling on the dash. Been working on fixing these for a month or so, lots of time caulking and recaulking.

Chances are if its pooling on the dash its getting by the windshield gasket. I have the same issue, and am checking for other issues/solutions.
