Steering box question
Do they make different ratios, or are they all the same. Meaning if I bought a new one from a parts store would my truck still steer the same as it does now? I am talking about power boxes by the way.

You have to pay some pretty big bucks from what I understand to get a faster ratio.
The later truck...80-something went to a variable ratio...but then you'll have hose fitting issues. |

I'm not really wanting a different ratio box, I was just wondering if they came from factory with different ratios, like say for instance if a truck came with a big block, and one with a small block would the boxes still be the same? I just didn't want to get a new box and it steer harder than the one that is on the truck now!

all ps boxes installed for these trucks are the same regardless of engine/drivetrain combo.

Thanks guys!!! My old box is good other than the lower shaft where the pitman arm hooks up. The splines on the box are worn due to P/O running a used pitman arm on it, sooo it wore the splines on the shaft. I got a new pitman arm and put it on and it helped the problem a little for a while until the splines on the pitman arm wore down, so now it's like it was white line to yellow line drifting to and fro!!!
