What ball joints for the ECE 2.5 drop spindle for 1968 Chevy C10?
I purchased a complete 5x5 front disc brake conversion kit from ECE and it included the 2.5 drop spindles for my 1968 Chevy C10.
I forgot which ball joints the spindle will need? I tried calling ECE but have not received a call back as I also wanted to purchase some parts while they are having a sale. |

As an fyi, ECE has closed it's doors recently. Sad news for sure as they were a go-to resource for parts and tech info for just about all of us here on this board. But this is most likely why it will be difficult to get a response from them if at all.

I highly recommend Moog (problem solver) for your ball joints or any suspension replacement parts.

Yes u can go to your local parts store and get what u need. Moog problem solver is 1 of the better ones made. The upper bolts n so u should get new hardware with the ball joint. U can also order online thru rock auto. Get some grease for ur gun while u are there. Dont make 2 trips if u dont have 2.Let us know how it turns out.

I replaced all of my front suspension with Moog from Rockauto on my 67 and wrote all the part #'s down in my build book if anyone wants them .
I made a "build book" to keep track of all the upgraded parts and pieces ,it has the part #'s ,Where I bought them , and when so I have an easy reference if anything needs to be replaced down the road . or for use by the next owner .

Re: What ball joints for the ECE 2.5 drop spindle for 1968 Chevy C10?
GOM, I am curios which upper ball joints you used. I am trying to install some Hotchkis upper a-arms with proforged 101-10037 and they simply don't fit. The MOOG equivalent is the K6024. My truck is a 69 that I converted to ECE discs many years ago. Thought I saved the receipt but of course I can find everything but the spindle info...
