Unknown Bracket
There is a small bracket on both doors just below the vent window. anyone know what that was for.

That would be for the smaller chrome mirrors that were on the truck/ doors previously,looks like someone did not remove them when the new mirrors were put on.

That bracket looks to be the same bracket style used on mid 60s to early 70s Chevelles, Novas, Impalas and similar. Not correct for these trucks at all. Correct truck mirror would have been an inside the door threaded plate for support and added strength.
