SB Metal to Wood bed swap

Is it a good idea to change the metal bed to a wood bed? Is there any more of an awe about a wood bed compared to a metal bed? I am trying to decide if I want to change since my bed is completely apart right now getting sandblasted.

would it cost a lot to change to a wood bed? Also I could sell the original bed floor since they don't make complete floor restos right?

In addition to the wood kit, you'll need a new front wall. They are not the same.
