Is there a gasket on the TH350 Speedo Cable Input housing?
I was looking under my truck tonight, and it seems that my tranny might be leaking from where the speedo cable connects to it on the driverside back portion. I was able to wiggle the thing, shouldn't it be a TIGHT fit?

It has a O ring .
Are you saying the cable is loose or the housing that the cable screws onto is loose ? Either way its a easy fix if it's the o-ring. Bill |

I was able to buy a new "bullet" for mine with a new o-ring and internal seal already installed for less than $5 from a transmission supply house. Mine had become worn enough that the hole through the center allowed the gear to wobble and mess up the seal. I think I paid about $6 for a new bullet and gear. At that price, it isn't worth just replacing the o-ring or the seal.

Do you think replacing that bullet might correct some wobble in the speedo at low speeds?
