1967 k10 carrier bearing mount issue
I replaced the carrier bearing on my 67 k10 longbed, but it seems the previously "repaired" mount is serious out of alignment as it's really two welded together. I can reweld the mount, but can someone give me what the height of the mount should be? To be clear how far down off the cross member is the mounting surface for the carrier bearing? I'd like to put the carrier bearing at the right height for driveshaft angles. Thanks!

Here's what I have on my GMC, not sure if it's the same or not.
It's about 3-15/16" at the front, and 4-1/16" at the rear.

Re: 1967 k10 carrier bearing mount issue
Looks like it was just cut in half, pushed together and welded to move the bearing closer to frame. Should be able to put back together as stock with a little grinding and welding.

Re: 1967 k10 carrier bearing mount issue
Thank You! I think they backed over something and caught the carrier bearing. It's gotta be two different mounts because as you see it the front is 3.5" and the back is 3.75" and there's at least 3/4" of overlap. Anyways, I'll get it cut apart and welded back right!
