Will the vehicle run with gauge cluster removed?

Like the title says will a vehicle equipped with gauges run with the gauge cluster removed. I am thinking everything passes through ammeter maybe not? I have someone coming to work on my Blazer for me and we want to remove gauge cluster, investigate non working fuel gauge, remove dash pad and all AC hoses, and fix a lot of hack harness issues. If it will run without I wont have to reinstall before moving to body shop?

Thank
Mark

It will run but the oil pressure is a mechanical gauge. Oil will squirt everywhere.

Yes it will. Be sure and plug the oil line somehow or if you have an old oil gauge laying around screw the line into it. If you don't you will have oil soaked carpet.....

Re: Will the vehicle run with gauge cluster removed?

Just bought an oil pressure gauge just for that reason, thanks.

Now when I remove it the rest of the work (a lot of work) can continue.

Thanks for the quick replies.
