67-72 Independent Rear Suspension Project
Here are some pictures of the latest project. The rear suspension is a fully bolt in IRS kit using a fabricated 9" housing, 33 spline CV shafts, cam bolts to set rear wheel camber and steering arms for toe adjustment. |

Re: 67-72 Independent Rear Suspension Project
Nice truck... but that sure is a lot of work and coin to "improve" on something (coil trailing arms) that already works perfectly.

I was going to say welcome to the forum since it’s your first post, but you’ve been here since 2008! Heckuva first post - some serious suspension work done there, nice job.

Re: 67-72 Independent Rear Suspension Project
That's outstanding job sir! That thing should do well on the auto cross, if you plan to do that!
Ant no factory trailing arm suspension gonna handle like that will, that's for sure.

Re: 67-72 Independent Rear Suspension Project
Pretty slick. My Camaro has irs and it handles quite well for what it is. I’m sure that truck is a blast to drive. I sure hope it’s got a healthy helping of horse power to go with that setup.

It currently has a 400 hp sbc with a really early Edelbrock multiport EFI, 700R4 trans and a 3.70 true trac Ford 9".
