Backing plates with drop spindles

For the guys running drop spindles what did you do for backing plates? Stocks clearly don't fit. Did you all just not run any at all? Thanks

Re: Backing plates with drop spindles

I have ECE drop spindles on my 72 and the backing plates fit fine.

Re: Backing plates with drop spindles

Appreciate it guys. Apparently the Cpp modular drop spindles do not use any backing plates according to Cpp. They are intended to be used without the backing plates.

Re: Backing plates with drop spindles

I used the McGaughys spindles and the everything swapped over with no problem. I wonder why CPP would do that?

2 1/2 in. 3/4 ton drop spindle. Had a little clearance issue. We just trimmed it a little. Fits fine now.
