Lighted cigarette lighter?

Ive never seen one of these in a truck before. Id buy one just to see how the work, but the prices on them are more than I want to pay just to satisfy my curiosity =)

If someone would show one that would be great. Where does the light come in, how its wired. I feel like a person could probably make one if they didn't care about original. I wont be running lighters anyway. I'm thinking Id rather have a USB charging port in that spot.

Re: Lighted cigarette lighter?

Vendors here sell them for a decent price. $20 if I remember correctly. GMC Paul's has them. The light turns on inside when you pull the lighter out. I need to buy one too just cause they're cool.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

In image above on left side of cigarette lighter housing you'll notice a small rectangular box of metal, the bulb to illuminate is under that cover. When cigarette lighter element is removed from housing it triggers bulb to light so you can find opening in the dark to replace element.

That's the one I put in my truck a few years back. Use it to charge phone... good quality, looks good, and works great.

Thanks, exactly the explanation I needed. Now I get it.
