best Epoxy

What is the best epoxy for metal ?

doing something different, my 72 had the OEM radio removed years ago, and the opening was cutout bigger to accommodate some 70's aftermarket radio that no longer works.

was going to put a blank out plate on, but acquired a factory correct AM radio but also doesnt work. I placed it in the band saw, cut 90% of the radio off, leaving the chrome face, dial, push buttons.

playing around with using epoxy and face plate to install so truck has the Look of factory radio appearance. I use a blue tooth speaker and phone in truck. New HVAC hoses were bigger than original and there didnt seem to be space to install dead radio and since it is just for looks, didnt mind cutting it up.
What type of epoxy is best to hold radio face and face plate to dash? Thanks

Re: best Epoxy

Someone will chime in with a good product, a lot of new epoxy products 2 tubes and mix. I would use polyurethane caulk, tape off area...a couple dabs and secure with tape till it dry's 24hrs. J-B weld also but its runny on a vertical surface.

Urethane may be a good option. Prep is the key like always clean clean clean.

Re: best Epoxy

When I did a hacked dash repair on my '71 Chevelle (plastic) I used a two part epoxy called PC-7. Was recommended to me by member on a Chevelle website similar to our truck forum. Mixes well and has great working time. Does not sag and run like many epoxies. Since then I have used it also on steel and it works great there also. Very reasonable on $$ and is a MADE IN USA product.

I just repaired a tool with 2 part epoxy and it didn't hold. I had a tube of this on hand so I thought I would try it. I used the tool for a half a day and it is still holding good.
