Re: ISO: DG5 mirrors (stainless?)

I was working on making some dies to make some stainless ones, but since I got the painted set to use as a template I have not really had any time to mess with them. Been working too much and broke my leg in January of 2019.
Major set back.
Someone may correct me but I don’t believe there was factory stainless DG5s for 67-72. Might be able to find a set from a 73 and up. They might be close and I believe I remembered seeing them in stainless.

Re: ISO: DG5 mirrors (stainless?)

FWIW if a painted set became available it could be chrome plated. I recently had painted DG4 mirror supports chromed as a reasonable cost and they turned out great.

Re: ISO: DG5 mirrors (stainless?)

I'll see what I can do about getting a jump on the dies to make stainless mirrors. No promises of it being relatively soon though, as I am currently on crutches again after a surgery I had in February of 2020. I might be able to get my brothers to help. They will get done eventually as I am going to be putting stainless DG5s on my truck for sure.

thanks. looking for a set for a c50 build. plus need a set of stainless frames made for a 68 west coast jr. set. crimp die should be close enough. ive brought a pile of late 60s-70s ford frames home to rework a set, but just haven't got to it yet. good luck with the leg!
