Front Drum Brake Hub
I'm in desperate need of a driver's front 6-lug hub for my 68 C10 with drum brakes. Can't seem to find one anywhere. Can anyone point me in a good direction for this ?

Re: Front Drum Brake Hub
I also had this issue for my 1968 8-lug C2500. I took my drums to my local NAPA and they were able to source everything I needed for a full front end rebuild. They're not always the cheapest, but my NAPA (not all NAPA's are created equal) always pulls through for me.

Re: Front Drum Brake Hub
They were my first call, but they don't even list hubs for us anymore.

Re: Front Drum Brake Hub
Check craigslist. I got a set for free a while back from a guy that upgraded to disc brakes. That or post a wtb add in the classified section here.

Re: Front Drum Brake Hub
What is wrong with the hub you have. I may have a set of 6 lug hubs from my 70 C10 build but they would be at my parents house about 30 min away from me. Maybe if we get out of our shelter in place home tomorrow for a drive I could run out there and see. Not sure if a 68 and 70 hub would be the same.

Re: Front Drum Brake Hub
I've had a noise for a while and finally got a chance to look at it. The outer bearing race spun and has "roughly machined" a trough for itself. I'm going to try some loctite bearing mount, but I'd much prefer a better hub. I'd be willing to bet that they are the same enough to buy them if you can get them for me.

Re: Front Drum Brake Hub
I went to my parents and picked them up. Let me separate them from the drums and try and clean them up a bit and I will send you some pics to see if you are still interested.

Re: Front Drum Brake Hub
I have them separated from the drums now and in a bucket of degreaser. I will get them clean and do an inspection to see if the look usable. Just at a glance the bearing races look good. I will post more pics when clean.
