67 C10 forsale again

This time it has to go. I bought this truck 3 years ago and drove it everyday for 18 months. I put a built 454 in it and went threw 2 automatic trannys and let it sit for a year with out starting it. I just recently installed a 4 speed trans with a granny gear. After starting the truck and letting it run it started smoking and using oil. It is an unfinshed project that I would like to get $3500 dollars for as is with a few extra parts. All it needs is a driveshaft and exhaust to drive it on the street. It has some rust on the passenger side front fender behind the bumper, in both door coners, and passenger side cab coner. The tailgate is ruff but I have another on thats in disent shape.

Its a long wheel base truck, I started gathering parts for a disc brake swap, I have the spindles calipers, which am throwing in with the truck all you need is the 6 lug rotor kit from Gmc pauls and a brake booster. I also have a 92 chevy truck tank with sending unit that I am alos including in the truck. I started installing fractory ac parts but I don't have everything. I put in a steering column from a 92 chevy and gas pedal from same vechial. The interrior door panles and seat where recovered 2 years ago. To the orginal pattern the bench seat was an orginal cloth and vinyl seat. The truck still has the orginal heavy duty coil springs and rear overloald springs with the factory swaybars. The truck has 74,000 orginal miles so the suspension is in great shape. It has a new rearend a used trany with 143,000 miles on it, and a rebuilt 454 with lots of goodies and surprizingly easy on gas.

The motor alone cost close to $5000 to rebuild. It still has the stock bore, It does however have a 396 crank and heads. So it really is a 427. It has the biggest pushrods you can buy for a big block. A wiend action plus intake, edelbrock 750 cfm carb, Chrome 6 in tall air cleaner, chrome tall valvecovers, dynomax headers, march pulleys and brakets just for alt. It has somewhere between 11:1 and 12:1 compression. But because it sat so long without running it will need valve seals and all the other gaskets that might have gone bad. It runs but it smokes.

I have a pic of the engine compartment while I was in the process of installing the big block. The pic doesn't show the new 4 core radiator and radiator hoses, are the ac housing that I installed.

Yes it was in the truck I orginally built it for. I had first installed it in a 92 3/4 ton with a 5 speed and got 15 mpg out of it in that truck. I haven't got to drive it in the 67 maybe a couple of times cause it went through auto tranys fast about as fast as I could put them in. I would guess probably 10mpg with the overdrive.

motor mounts towers, oil presure lines and gauge because it has a 80 psi oil pump. 4 core radiator and radiator pads and mounts.

Randy,
That looks like a great project! Too bad you have to unload it-and too bad I already have too many! Did you get my message on the column? If not, let me know and I will resend it.
Thanks,
Kent

Hey smoky02 how much are you looking to spend on a big block, I know of 2 other bigblocks in my area that are cheap but they will need to be rebuilt.
