LS Oil Pans

My 67 c10 has 5/7 drop and LQ9. The stock truck pan hangs down to low. So I am looking for a new pan.

I have that pan, it seemed to be really high quality and it is above the crossmember so suits me well.

That is the Hummer H2 pan, it is about an inch shallower than the standard truck pan. It depends on your mounts, but on my truck, it hangs down not quite 1/2" below the crossmember.

I am using stock c10 mounts. The poly ones from Energy. You think it will hang down below my crossmember?

Should I order the CTS-V one?

I'm running a fbody oil pan and its well above the bottom of the cross member.

The f body pan is a 5 1/2 quart pan, so only half quart less. It is a lot shallower, but the sump part is longer so you may have to move the engine back to clear the crossmember. Never used one in a truck so not positive on that though. The CTS-V pan is supposed to work really well, I believe its shorter than the Hummer pan, not as shallow as the f body, but has a shorter sump, more like a small block pan.

I guess it does hang a smidge lower than crossmember, it is higher than the control arms connections. I have dirty dingo sliders which I don’t recommend.

used a CTS-v pan on a bagged 67 with an 5.3 on dingo slider mounts and stock v8 engine towers and when placing a straight-edge on the bottom of the stock crossmember the CTS-v pan was dang near flush

I make my own mounts, so I put the engine where I want it, which is basically the stock small block position. I use mechanical fans, so I center the fan in the fan shroud.

I have the CTSV pan on my 74 with slider mounts. Lots of room to move to motor forward from where I have it. It’s the best pan for truck hands down.

no sir. the profile of the CTS-v pan is much like a truck pan so the "sump" is approximately in same spot. It is a bit "longer" (front to back) but I did not have an issue.

The reason i used the dirty dingo sliders was I had a SBC & TH350 in the truck originally and wanted to use the TH350 & the original driveshaft (budgetary reasons ). Short version: wanted the trans to stay where it was & to do so I needed to slide the LS further back than the SBC to mate up. Hope that made sense.

The fbody pan and the hummer pan works well with factory engine stands and the swap plates with the factory motor mounts.

My truck has the F-body pan with Dirty Dingo Sliders with the engine slid enough forward to fit the A/C compressor in the stock location. Plenty of room and the pan sits slightly above the cross member.
Hope I am not causing any problems by putting 6 quarts in it?!

F-body pan too. Sits above cross member with sliding adjustable mounts. Worked out great.

This is of little help. I'm running the stock truck pan, it hangs about an 1" below the cross member. Adding a skid plate off the cross member. It's a 2 wheel drive truck.

Genuine GM is around $330.

This pan replaces part numbers 19254632, 12605814, 12628451 and includes mounting bosses for Oil Cooler if needed.

If you buy the pan set from GM Parts Direct, the gasket and other parts are included.

Just be aware this item from GM Parts Direct is a special order item that will require additional processing time....read the text on the web page...

You would also need to purchase the correct oil pickup tube....
