Sending unit ground wire
Trying to put my truck together and it has no wires at all going to the gas tank. I was going to order the wire that goes from the fuse box to the tank itself. My question is, where do you have the ground wire on your gas tank/cab?

Re: Sending unit ground wire
Perhaps you mis spoke with the fuse panel. It's my understanding that on the tank, Ground lug is connected to any good chassis or body ground location. Sender lug is connected to guage, power wire is connected to other side of guage. There should be no power going to tank.
Not knowing what you have, perhaps you have an in tank fuel pump.

Re: Sending unit ground wire
Correct you are sir. Your tank needs a good ground and most stock tanks ground by the bolts holding it in place to the cab back wall. But adding one is not a bad idea. The tan wire runs from the fuse block to the tank and attaches to the sender. Save the picture and blow it up to trace the wiring.

Here are some large wiring diagram image files. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=185856 Below the small wiring diagrams you will see links to the larger diagrams, click on those. The wiring shown for the windshield wipers is wrong on those diagrams so you will have to look at the image in post #67 (on page 3) of this thread for the correct wire color and plug orientation for the wiper/washer. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=413551 LockDoc
