Front licence plate mounting options?

Is anyone doing anything different to mount their front licence plate? I think it looks odd all sloped back.

I bent up some aluminum strips to push it out and stand it up a bit, I have since shortened the strips but I don’t have a pic

Re: Front licence plate mounting options?

So I made some brackets to hold the plate more centered on the bumper. My first try held the plate vertical but it looked goofy so far from the bumper at the top. I ended up with the plate still tilted back part way. I still need to pick up some kind of nice frame for the plate as well.

I made a plate to straighten it up.

Re: Front licence plate mounting options?

Here is mine. I used the bumper mounting bolt and a custom bracket I made.

Re: Front licence plate mounting options?

I think if I had a painted bumper or if I had deep enough pockets to rechrome I’d modify the bumper to create a recess for the plate.
