Radiator question
my 1971 350/at with a/c just started leaking so I am looking for a new radiator. When I input info at radiator .com I get this info
"The the 70 C20 came in 1/2 ton, 3/4 and 1 ton, and each had both a 17" and a 19" radiator stock. I don't understand the difference between 17" and 19". I thought only the core sizes were different. Anyone shed some light on this. I know the 1970 and c20 isn't what I have but my info prompts me to call

Well, thats just stoopid. A C20 is a 3/4 ton, 2wd truck, period.

I believe that is the lenght of the core, from tank to tank. If not the longer one you will see 2 sets of holes on the to where you can bolt the radiator down. The movable ones will be by the batttery on the passenger side. I think thats what they are refering to when they say the differnet lengths.

When you price them, put in some different years for 67-72 and auto and manual - pick the one that is cheapest as from what I have learned they are all the same but priced different depending on the specific year and engine/tranny setup.
Do make sure you are pricing a 4 core if you are wanting a 4 core. When I was pricing a 4 core, there was a fair price difference between the different years.

The I6/manual tranny radiators are not as wide as the V8 or auto counterparts. If you look at your core support, there should be different bolt holes in it for the 2 positions for the upper radiator clamps. This may be why the 17 vs 19 inches.
