Ignition stays hot!

So my keyed ignition is live constantly.bIs there any reason for this? My pink ignition wire is always hot so when i start the truck it won't turn off u til I pull the fuse! Also every fuse in the fusebox is getting power even with the switch in off position.
Anyone have a diagram of the ignition switch wiring so I can trace?
Or you think maybe the ignition is in need of replacement

Could be wiped out contacts in the switch. Did you do anything with the starter recently? The yellow wire on the starter has been known to cause this, as it feed the coil only during cranking unless it's touching the big post on the starter. Doesn't apply if you have an HEI.

I'm probably wrong, but I had a similar experience with my tractor and it was a shorted/ faulty alternator.

Put a tester on the ignition switch.
See if power goes off with key on off position
I’m betting on wore out ignition switch.
Easy to replace and many places carry them.

Ya I'm thinking the switch too. I am 95 percent done in the ls conversion and I start the engine, no oroblem. then turn the key off and the truck is still running!!! Lol. When I pull the power off the battery and hook it back up the switched power is dead till I turn the ignition on again and then the pink sure stays hot! I have another new switch. I'll switch it out this weekend and see what happens

Saw this after I posted mine. Maybe someone else who has done an LS swap has seen this? Depending on what wiring changed, that could be the cause, power feeding back from the alternator.

I have experienced this before as well where alternator was backfeeding into ignition wire. Take the alternator belt off and try a few stop/starts. Obviously don't run it too long....

Check to see if you still have the brown/white resistor wire in the harness.

I was losing switches about every 8-14 months. Heater only truck the Blower Fan is drawing too many amps through the harness cooking components.

I've seen the same thing with the alternator excite wire. Sometimes it needs a diode to keep it from back feeding.

That is the brown/white wire I believe.

hmm no i dont think it could be this, if i turn the ignition to the on position without sarting it and turn the key off, the pink still stys hot
