Any of your K’s getting stimulus love?

Anybody out there buying parts with there stimulus money? I recently bought some ACC molded dark olive carpet and all the rubber to seal my doors back up. I Hope everyone is safe, healthy and in a financial point where they are able to get by until this mess is over, that’s the most important thing right now. I’d love to see what everyone is working on currently! These 4X4’s are the best of the best in our truck world!

Buying some parts here and there. The larger purchases have been put on hold. Anxiously awaiting my truck to get out of paint so I can get going on it.

Ahh yes... Paint jail.... Seems like an eternity I’m sure, with what you’ve got going in your build.

Re: Any of your K’s getting stimulus love?

Not really stimulus love. But I did complete a long dreaded project. My girlfriend is working from home and needs me outside most the time (I'm distracting her). The bumper is off a 90 Burban. When I test fit it sat below the grill and too far forward. I made new brackets that moved it up and back. I like it now what's the consensus here?

Re: Any of your K’s getting stimulus love?

Re: the Bumper - I like it. Looks good.
In regards to the stimulus check, I bought a couple things for the '61 Corvette - new cable drive tachometer and a 15" steering wheel (instead of the stock 17"). The Blazer is pretty much done. The last thing I bought for it was a couple months ago when I bought some nice correct hub caps. It took me awhile to find them. Haven't even taken photos of them yet. I might be replacing the power steering pump in the near future, It is making a little noise when it is cold. Comes and goes when warmed up. It isn't leaking and fluid is at correct level. Haven't driven it down the road yet this spring. Just uncovered it and backed it out of the garage and letting it run until every thing is up to temp.

Re: Any of your K’s getting stimulus love?

Lookin good guys! Old Blue K20, that bumper looks awesome! Kind of reminds me of the one on my 3100. I haven’t posted many pictures of it on this forum but my K20 is about done with phase 1 of the build so that means my 3100 is gonna go under the knife for a bit this summer and fall. I’m planning to give it to my wife as a surprise 10 year wedding anniversary gift next April. I’m hoping to get started on my K10 next year but we will see. The LS swap in my K20 May come first. Any who that’s a great looking truck you’ve got there! I’ve come to appreciate non factory 2,3 and in my case 4 tone multi colored trucks quite a bit.

rsavage, lets see a pic of that vette! I love the C1s. One of my dream cars.

Here’s my 57 3100 circa 2016

Re: Any of your K’s getting stimulus love?

Thanks guys, the 3100 was an original 235/sm420 truck in Brewster green,I believe they called it. I believe it was a napco at one time but those parts were gone when I bought it. When I got it back in 2005 it was the same color purple as the bumper in that picture. It had a 305/203/14 bolt ff rear with a 6 lug closed knuckle 44 up front. It got a full floor, numerous firewall patches, rockers, step panels, lower door hinge pockets, cab corners, rear cab to floor seam patch, new doors, new front and rear step side fenders. I think that’s about it as far as metal goes. Basically the lower foot or so of the cab and firewall has been replaced. I guess it’s easier to Name what’s original huh? It was built in Baltimore and spent its life in Virginia so the rust was pretty bad. The frame was pretty rusted out too so Now it’s on an 88 blazer frame, 350/700r/208, 12bolt 10 bolt. I’ll probably start a thread on it when I get it into the shop and start working on it again. I haven’t driven it much in 3-4 years and I need to fix that. My wife loves it to death and Calls it Peggy Sue.

Re: Any of your K’s getting stimulus love?

I haven't received a check yet. I thought they didn't come out until May for the mailed ones and the direct deposit folks already got theirs.

I do have a couple of small things I want to pick up for my future KBurb project, but going to bank most of it.

Re: Any of your K’s getting stimulus love?

Does a whole truck count? My wife and I qualified for the whole stimulus

Bought this 1975 Silverado shortbed a couple days ago. 350, auto, factory tach ( I think it’s factory- no SPID)

It had a bunch of those 70’s aftermarket add-ons. Hickey sidewinder winch, grill guard, axle trusses, skid plates and in-bed auxiliary gas tanks. Also has diamond plate aluminum rocker skid plates that look like the ones in the hickey enterprises catalogue. Also came with a bolt-in roll cage. Dash wasn’t cut

Thanks for letting me share it, Vinnie
