Floor Stand Drill Press

In the market for a drill press. A lot of the reviews on them do not look too promising. Looking for a decent one for under or around a grand. Anybody have some recommendations??

Re: Floor Stand Drill Press

for an affordable, good solid American made drill press, I'd try your local auctions..

here's a recent thread on an auction find

good luck!

The local craigslist, FB or offerup for example. Check the internet for how to check for loose bits.

A good used machine would be your best bet. The suggestions above are a good way to go.

Re: Floor Stand Drill Press

Been looking locally now for a couple of weeks at auctions and such, even up into the Chico/Oroville area. May even consider a mill if it is affordable

Re: Floor Stand Drill Press

auctions may be slow or closed right now so might take a little longer..

I've bought salvaged tooling from Cal Aero Supply, they buy a lot of aerospace and industrial equipment..

don't recall seeing larger machines there, but might be worth a phone call and ask if they either have for sale or can give you some leads..

We have our own tooling department and there the experts can help you with any project your are working on.

If there is a part or tool you need, that we do not have in stock we can get it for you.
good luck!
