Non tilt column parts question

On my 84 GMC I have a non tilt column that I think is missing an upper bearing spring. My left signal doesn't cancel but the right side does. I replaced the cancel cam, but am wondering it there is supposed to be a spring that goes in the cam? My horn doesn't work either so not sure if non tilt columns are supposed to have the upper bearing spring.

Other then the tilt there close should get you started. The horn if you take off the steering wheel off check the horn connection the is a spring there in a sleeve with wire stud horn button pressed makes it beep. There some digrams.

Re: Non tilt column parts question

Just a guess but you might try the help section at the local parts store for the cancel springs in the links.
https://www.google.com/search?client...+cancel+spring
https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-2363-49312.aspx
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...312/17190371-P
Typically the horn button provides a ground to the horn relay, which might be near the fuse panel. I'd start there. Does the relay click? You might also check for voltage at the horn when pressing the button.
Here's a link for the horn bits. I'd look at the pics and then under the horn button.
