1978 Chevy 3/4 ton - need help with radiator/fan shroud

Hey guys, I have a 1978 Chevy 3/4 ton that I'm getting prepped to do an LS swap on, but I think I have a few mismatched parts on the truck. Actually, I know I do because my dad told me he had scavenged whatever junkyard parts he could to make it run - back in the 80's! The problem is, I'm not sure what is correct with the radiator and fan shroud. I know there were quite a few different styles and sizes of radiators and shrouds in the 70's trucks.

The stock radiator is junk and I'm planning on buying a replacement from either Napa or Oreilly's...the problem is they list about 10 different radiators, and none seem the same as what I have. Can someone here who knows a little more about these 70's square bodies tell me what I have, or should have in here?

Whoops, stuck this in the build threads by accident. Could a mod move this over to the parent forum?

I moved it for ya. Not much help for ya other than the fan shroud ifs for a 90-93 1 ton van with a diesel or 4.3 V6. If you want a radiator to fit the shroud maybe look up 90-93 Chevy P30 van with diesel or the 4.3 V6.

Correct one is a 2piece unit. LMC has them for $30/pc. I’ve beat the salvage yards and CL locally without luck. Would try the swap meets but all shut down with COVID....

Either they are beat and broken or swapped from another year. One that came on mine when purchased was held in place with wire and a 2x4. Got the right HD rad which seems to be a big block piece using the small block shroud. Bought the urethane bushings and top plate bracket.

Thanks guys. Napa ended up having the correct radiator to fit the brackets, even though the dimensions were listed incorrectly. I ordered up a 2 piece shroud from Brothers Trucks also!
