Were inner fenders & firewall painted semi gloss black at factory for 1968 C10

Did the factory paint the inner fenders and firewall semi gloss black for 1968 Chevy C10?

The factory paint color for my truck is black... so would the engine firewall be painted body color while the inner fenders are painted semi gloss black in order to achieve a factory look to it?

Firewall would have been body color (in your case gloss black). Inner finderwells would have a semi/satin gloss to them. That said, I don't know if they were "painted" or if it was just the (epdm?) coating. None-the-less, satin/semi. There are a bunch of semi/satin black paints out there, but one I go to often is SEM trim black.
