GMC vs C10 Chassis

I have a 68 GMC Long Bed Chassis, can I use is to build my 1968 Chevy Long Bed? Changes I have to make?

Thx,
Mike

Re: GMC vs C10 Chassis

Depends on what motor/trans/rear are in the two trucks. The suspension stuff should be the same except possibly the leaf/coil thing.

Either truck could be had with either rear suspension, just depends on what was ordered. Motor mounts/brackets/trans crossmembers will need to be switched once again depending on what combo it came with.

Re: GMC vs C10 Chassis

I have a 1972 GMC C1500 long bed that was originally a leaf sprung rig. That now has a 1969 C10 long bed trailing arm frame under it. I swapped all the 1972 5 lug front end and disc brake stuff up front. I also used Moser 5 lug conversion axles in the 1969 12 bolt diff.
