Is there a body panel bolt list for a 66 C10 Fleetside?

I'm looking to get a list to place an order of stainless steel bolts and I wondered if there is a list of the needed bolts when doing a restoration? Ive taken out the bagged bolts I had and from here would need to go to the hardware store and get the sizes and thread pitches to place an order.

I have been buying over the years a few packs here and there and have a few already...

Engine compartment bolt kit -- (Battery Box, Radiator, and core support accessories --35 bolts, washers and lock washers)

Radiator Core support kit (dont think its stainless-made by counterpart)

Bed Bolt Kit
https://www.classicparts.com/1960-66...ctinfo/08-117/

Bumper bolts front and rear - Chrome not stainless

Ill list the bags and bottles of bolts I listed when I dismantled. Im not sure if they are all there, some hardware just broke apart in the dismantling.

I will also list what I think I need and if Im off please let me know.

5/16-18 x 3/4", (pointed tip with solid/fixed washer head on bolt top) = 33 of these
https://www.allensfasteners.com/deta...duct_ID=A10084

5/16-18 x 3/4", (pointed tip with a loose washer head on bolt top) = 35 of these
Ive seen the same size but instead of a fixed lock washer head they have a loose washer underneath. Not sure why they used the two different types?

30 bolts that are the same ones used for the bed side panels and the wheel tubs, not sure what size these are.

Shims = 16 or so (unless I just re use what I have and paint them so they dont rust?) I havent seen stainless ones yet, Im sure they are there though.

Body panel bolts - 5/16-18 x 3/4"

As I was taking off the bolts that were similar I put them in the same container, but some had fixed heads and some had a loose washer attached. That large one I honestly dont know where that came from yet.

Fender cowls

This is what I had from the Fender cowls. Confused on why the bolts were different and the shim was only on one side. I guess the passenger side just didnt need it.

Driver side fender

I had cleaned these up and sprayed epoxy primer on them and did the alignment on the fender to door since I was making repairs. Ended up scratching them up which is why I was wanting to go stainless. I listed where each went since threading them in gave me some trouble. So once they were in and looking right I labled them that way.

Hood parts

Ive bought a kit to replace the hood rubber bumper parts. I guess instead of the 2 smaller screws in the center of the picture that held on the 2 rubber parts, the kit comes with a different kind of fastener.

Re: Is there a body panel bolt list for a 66 C10 Fleetside?

Thanks RocknRod, for the replacement bolts on all this stuff I was hoping to get stainless and you had mentioned Allens Fasteners site before. I was hoping to compile a list of all this in stainless and order them. They arent taking phone orders so I'll be on my own identifying all these guys to get an order together and adding to a cart.

If your going to make a list I would suggest listing the fastener sizes of each. You started t in the first thread and that was good.

I just bought this kit for $49.99 on E*ay.
Looks to have everything, and then some.
When I disassemble the front end, I will place each of the old fastener in a marked sandwich bag.
Now when I reassemble, I just replace the old fastener with the new, and know exactly which one to use.
IT works out to 24 cents a fastner, witch is extremely reasonable.

Notice the size of the flanges on the new bolts and the old bolts.

Re: Is there a body panel bolt list for a 66 C10 Fleetside?

Looks like there isnt a comprehensive list then. Looking for all stainless might complicate it. Ill continue to look for the sizes and types of these bolts and more as I go and if I do get a list I will post it back here as to what I ordered. Im sure there will be missing parts and Ill have to revise the list.

EDIT: I didnt see the 2 above posts when I posted.

Ken, is that a stainless set?

Re: Is there a body panel bolt list for a 66 C10 Fleetside?

Is there a big difference in using a large flange vs reg flange for these body panels? Is it just cosmetic? Im not finding any large flange or fixed washer bolts in stainless for the 5/16"-18 x 3/4. Ive found of course the reg flange like this at Allens

https://www.allensfasteners.com/deta...duct_ID=40148A

Only that size is 5/8 vs 3/4, not sure that matters either.

The kits that Classic Parts sells in stainless look to be fixed washer and not flanged.

If you want stainless, no they dont make original "looking" fasteners for the C10's. So it's really what choice you wish to make for you and your truck.
I used the one from the bolt barn on ebay. The body shop owner swore up and down they are stainless, they are not.

Im thinking that the fixed washer in stainless would be fine, I wish it could be the large flange instead in stainless but I cant find any. I contacted Bolt Barn, Bolt Depot, Auveco, and Allens so far and nothing.

Not sure if they have all the C-10 bolts in one package but they have a great selection.
