Cab Fuel tank neck centering/sealing question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

This is my stock gas tank in my truck hasn't been on in for 10 years but I don't remember it not being centered in the hole in the cab. I feel like this won't seal. Anyone else's look like this?

The filler in my AD was like that but some adjustments to how the tank sat in the saddles and some tweaking of the filler neck and I was able to reduce the offset by at least 50% and the seal took care of the rest. It lived outside for a decade after that with no leaks.

I used a cheater bar to muscle the neck into the center of the hole in the sheet metal , simple solution .

I did get mine centered tonight. I just used a circle hole cutter and cut a hole the size of the neck into a 2x8 board. Placed it over the neck and messaged it to the center.
