Hickey sidewinder winch

Howdy, just picked up a sidewinder winch last weekend and would like to put it behind the front bumper of a 1970 K5.

I found it on offer up and ended up paying $120 for it. But it came with no additional parts.

I’d like to make my own mounting plate the same way Cleszkie did for his winch. I don’t know how to attach the link to the thread that I saw but his seemed to have come out solid.

Is someone willing to share pictures of the original manual that explains setting up and wiring?

Nice score! Did the same recently found this one. I plan on switching it over to synthetic winch line hopefully helping to keep it from binding up which the steel cable tends to do on these winches.

I also found a sidewinder III winch the next weekend and it came with a mount. I don’t know if you have one to compare it to, but does this look like the type used for the original Sidewinder?
