Real Deal Steel
Anyone know anything about real deal steel products.
I know that they have made tri5 and camero body parts for years. Now I see that Summit is offering their products for our trucks. The price is about $100.00 more than AMD. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/r...-67r?rrec=true If I can save some body work and time I'd spend a little extra for quality. |

Re: Real Deal Steel
I guess the big question is do they make the fenders or if not, who's are they relabeling? If you can get that info it's a start.

Re: Real Deal Steel
Recently purchased some parts from them for a 64 nova project and the fit was excellent. Customer service, packaging and delivery times excellent as well. Keep in mind my rating for fit is based on what I took out and what I put in required very little massaging. I feel massaging is required for anything since new tooling is not mass production and press pressures are not as great. When I had a question, they responded right away. A lot of their Nova stuff was labeled 66-67, but body styles had not changed much for many years. I took a risk on a few parts and when I got them and found out they were the same, they relabeled their catalog accordingly. Another thing I liked about them was that they make complete bodies and I figure if your gonna do that you need to make sure gaps and panel fit its good. I did buy parts from other vendors for the nova and my truck and one thing you can be sure of, they will need to be massaged. If you don't have the patience, then I suggest fining OE parts.

This is what I found on their website about where their parts are from. "Q: Where are your parts manufactured? Real Deal sources parts from Taiwan, ROC as well as the US. Most of our body sheet metal is manufactured in Taiwan. Don't let this scare you - as the quality is very good to excellent. The sheet metal we stock and sell is the very same sheet metal we use to build our new steel car bodies." |
