Gen 1 small block with 906 Vortec heads
In the process of putting a new cam and Vortec 903 heads on my GMC. I've seen some posts talking about water cross over hoses for cooling. Can someone shed some info on this and maybe some pictures if you have them.
Thanks |

The heads have all the necessary machining and have springs good for .570 lift. But do I need to do anything to the heads for cooling or can I just bolt them on? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Gen 1 small block with 906 Vortec heads
I drilled 1/16 a small hole in the thermostat for water to flow, or you can run a bypass line to the intake from the water pump. i have a vortec top end and no steam lines.
