Will A Boyds C10 Tank Work In A K10?
My son has an 86 K10 long box fleetside truck.
Will the Boyds C10 bed fill fuel tank fit or are the K10's different somehow? Boyd's site does not say and he doesn't take calls. Thank you. Blake |

I used a Rick's Tank for my 70 K10 5.3 LM7 swap. High quality and made in Texas.

No unfortunately they are not the same ‘73+. They are similar in some regards but definitely not the same.

Thanks 57, I'll check back in once Boyd replies. I have one of his tanks on our 68 and I really like the fit and finish.
Rick's is nice but wow it's almost double the price. Blake |

I agree that Ricks is expensive. Stainless steel versus aluminum. I didn't want any chance of corrosion from ethanol fuel in an aluminum tank.

Re: Will A Boyds C10 Tank Work In A K10?
I get that for sure but I want something that's going to fit without a bunch of dicking around.
I don't like the saddle tanks location and how they hang down in the line of sight. Blake |

Amen to that brother, between my 4 trucks and my Camaro there’s always at least one of them I’m wanting to dump some cash into but not able.

Money isn't the issue in this case....just trying to find a vendor that can take care of this and will communicate in a "normal" way.

Re: Will A Boyds C10 Tank Work In A K10?
Ended up ordering the TanksInc Sniper EFI 20 gallon tank that uses the stock fill location and comes with the pump etc for $600.00 landed at my door.
I never received a response from Boyd which is disappointing but still love their products. |
