ACC Carpet - Cargo Carpet Unfinished at front?
For those who ordered your ACC Carpet and opted for the CST carpet - was the front edge of the carpet 'finished'? I do plan to install rear side panels so the CST carpet was the right choice for me.
I was surprised to find the front edge was just raw carpet and I would have to finish it myself or cut/tuck it under the front trim piece. Alternatively, I guess I could tuck it down under the front seats without cutting, but that wouldn't give a clean appearance. Does the non-CST carpet come this same way with the front edge like this? |

Yes - the edge at the front is unlined and needs to be trimmed. Do you have the carpet strips to cover them? I dont think rolling it down that lip and tucking under the front carpet would work or look good...

haha two hugger and parchment examples
Oh BTW LKS_DCVN - with the carpet on the wheel wells you will likely have fitment issues with the CST panels. At least that's what I've read. |

Ah I stand corrected! I wouldn't of thought the carpet would lay flat and make that 90* bend nicely. Either way you need the carpet strip.

I have the chrome strips so all good there. Thanks for the replies all. Unsure if I will use the wheel covers or not yet. No trucks had them from the factory.
Truck will be the 71/72 Medium Green (back to factory color) with parchment interior. |

Re: ACC Carpet - Cargo Carpet Unfinished at front?
FWIW, having just gone through an interior refresh, my thoughts on the two concerns brought up here:
1) Folding the carpet down over the edge. If you chose the mass-backing it can be a bit tough to create a clean fold. If you wet the carpet then use a heat gun on low temp you can create a thermal fold in the carpet - that's what I did. The water should help reduce the risk of melting the pile. 2) My repro CST panels fit just fine with the carpet over the wells - even with the mass backing AND a layer of dynamat over the wells (under the carpet) |

Re: ACC Carpet - Cargo Carpet Unfinished at front?
What did you do around where the roll bar bolts to the floor? Did you cut and sew a finished edge around the roll bar, or bolt through the carper? Would not mind seeing some pictures of that! looks great!

Bolts for rollbar go through the carpet.
