Easy taillight upgrade

Hey everyone, just thought I’d share a quick easy safety update. While changing a taillight bulb, I decided to paint the inner housings white. What a huge difference in visibility! My old lenses were pretty dirty so just cleaning them would’ve helped, but painting took it to a whole new level.

A friend of mine was recently following me and said he could barely see my brake lights. This easy modification makes a world of difference. In the photo, I just painted the driver’s side, cleaned the lens and replaced the bulb.

The photo shows the brakes being applied. You’ll notice a considerable difference as the passenger side is just cleaned not painted yet.

I also painted mine white. It helped, but I haven't run some individual grounds yet, so I can't take full advantage of them yet

Re: Easy taillight upgrade

I use the spray can bumper chrome when I clean em and also run a ground from the housing to the bed. It does make a big improvement. I think the ground makes as much a change as any other mod.
