Dana 70 and lug/ hub question
Recently I acquired a FREE dana 70 rear axle, believed to be out of a 1996 Dodge 2500. It has an 8-lug x 6.5" pattern with 9/16" lugs. Now, I plan on converting my Dana 44 front axle to 8 lug and install this 70 axle in the rear of my 1971 K10. So, my question is this- If I get wheels to fit, will I need Dodge rear wheels and GM front wheels due to the thickness of the rear studs vs the front studs? Or, can I replace the rear hubs with GM 14 bolt hubs? The rear has drum brakes. Whatever I can do to make sure that the front and rear wheels are the same in the end is the ultimate goal. See, I think that gm used acorn nuts and dodge used flat flange nuts.

Re: Dana 70 and lug/ hub question
Don't think GM wheels gonna fit on the Dodge axle. If you have aftermarket rims, then they will be fine. Also think the dually's used flat faced lugs, I think urs uses acorn style. Use whatever the rims use.
