Inline EFI pump with LMC underbed tank
Good morning. Seeking input on inline high pressure fuel pump mounting location.
LMC tank hangs pretty low and the need is to get the pump close to the tank and equal or below the lowest part of the tank. I’m welding in a bung on the bottom of the tank for a feed. The idea is to fab and weld a sheet metal pump bracket onto the side of the tank that’ll hang the pump where it needs to be so it can focus on pushing fuel vs pulling from the sending unit. Sticking it on the frame rail almost gets it as low but there’s a distance issue and it would still be pulling a bit due to fuel line routing. I’ve searched and haven’t found anything similar yet. Most I’ve seen are on the frame rail. Any thoughts pro or con? Thanks

Inline EFI pump with LMC underbed tank
No issues with panhard. Looking at the back side of the tank for the added bracket

Re: Inline EFI pump with LMC underbed tank
I had replaced the rear C-channel crossmember many years ago for a tubular one that doubles as my rear sway bar housing. I welded a tab to that and have used it as my mount for several different types fuel pumps over the many iterations of my truck, the most recent being a high-pressure pump from MagnaFuel since I plan to eventually go to fuel injection.
